Family Services Department needs your help in fighting Hunger and Homelessness.  There is a great need as we approach the holidays, for food, shelter and clothing.  SonRise is making an effort to address this need by sponsoring a food drive to be  held from November 1, 2011 to January 5, 2012. 

Donations of non-perishable food items as well as supermarket gift cards for items not commonly donated such as household cleaning items, fresh produce, dairy products, fish, poultry etc., can be dropped off at SonRise Executive Office located inside the First Baptist Church of Englewood, 351 W. Englewood Avenue, Englewood, NJ  07631 between 10 am - 2 pm.  First Baptist Church of Englewood is shepherded by Dr. John H. Spencer., Jr. Pastor.



  As we raise the awareness that poverty is an increasing problem both in the United States and throughout the World. SonRise is on the forefront with many other agencies and houses of worship in making major attempts to alleviate poverty.

With Project H.O.P.E we received a lot of support from First Baptist Church of Englewood Members; Community Service Organizations; families, individuals, College Students; Bergen County Community Work Experience Program; Volunteer Center of Bergen County; New Life Image; Never Alone Again Domestic Violence Abuse/Organization and College Students. 

The contributions of valuable time, inkind donations and gifts has helped SonRise distibute the proceeds of Project H.O.P.E in collaboration with Eternity Funeral Services; LLC of clothes, coates, & pampers to Englewood service providers:  Bergen Family Center,  Dwight Morrow High School, Vincent K. Tibbs Child Development Center and the Women's Right Center.

So far we have collected over 800 items as of December 8, 2011 and we graciously give thanks to all our volunteers and donor support. 

With your continued support we anticipate a successful campaign to identify & provide social support services for those in need.
